We are in Valdez, Alaska.
Not all our days are bright and sunny:
(We think there is a mountain behind the fog.) But that’s okay; it gives us a chance to
catch up on other things, like this blog.
Sorry I haven’t written more, but we have been having a
blast. We arrived here last night in
slightly less fog after driving through some gorgeous scenery and stopping by a
glacier. There is a huge ice field to
our northwest, which gave us a glimpse of glaciers all day yesterday on our
drive from Grand View, Alaska. Here are
two.
(There are glaciers on both the right and left of this
picture.)
And a up close
shot of this last one:
We also stopped by a couple of waterfalls.
Bridal veil falls
Horse tail falls
And drove through some small canyons.
Update:
Last night we ate salmon that Tom and Jim caught.
And this morning we had sunshine!
We’re off to sightsee this afternoon. I’ll post when I can.
