Tuesday, August 6, 2013  Float trip

We are up at the lodge by 8:45 am and they pile us on a bus at 9.  We drive over to the Snake River 10 minutes away.  Here's our float raft.

There will be 20 guests and two river guides on the trip and we end with lunch by the river.

This will be our scenery for the entire trip.  We see beaver dams.

And blue heron.

And two eagles.

One mule deer.

Also canadian geese and chipmunks, but I won't include pictures.  There are two different groups horseback riding along the river.  It would be a beautiful place for that.

After two and a half hours of floating, we reach our lunch destination.  And this is my view while I eat.

Tomorrow we head for Yellowstone.  It's directly north of here, but will take close to three hours to drive to the lodge we are staying in.  Time to get organized and packed up.
